Karate classes are offered to local youth ages 6 and up. Classes are taught by Master Dean Meier, a certified fifth-degree master instructor under Grandmaster Charles Ferraro in the Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan Association. Tang Soo Do is a traditional Korean karate that focuses on self-defense. The principles stressed in Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan are: respect, confidence; discipline; mental alertness and a positive attitude towards life.
